I'd like to consider myself a fairly savvy consumer. I belong to online discount boutique websites and store rewards programs.  I shop the end of the aisles in the grocery stores. I even bought my wedding gown at the infamous "Filene's Basement Wedding Dress Sale" (otherwise known as the "Running of the Brides")!  BUT, that's as far as I'll ever go. That was for my one day in the sun.

Black Friday, on the other hand, is my idea of self-inflicted torture.  The mere thought of setting the alarm to get up at an ungodly hour, on a day off, no less, to brave the cold and the legions of ruthless crowds is not something I will endure for a deal for anyone's gift. Sorry kids, hubby, and family! Not doing it. Why not? Because I am smarter than that. And, I am willing to bet, you are, too.

3. Buy from a direct seller! Many people may have heard of some of the direct sales companies, but not many have the chance to actually purchase their products! I know I LOVE my pizza stone.
